B2G Cybersecurity Monitoring System
Developing an import-substitution SIEM monitoring system
Context
FSUE NPP Gamma is the lead organization under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, working with government agencies in the field of information security. The work took place during an active trend of software import substitution in Russia.
Initially, the project existed as custom development with vague requirements and no market positioning. The project had to meet FSTEC requirements, operate in an isolated network, and integrate with existing infrastructure.
Challenge
Transform an internal technology development (SIEM system) into a full-fledged commercial product competitive in the Russian market, and ensure its commercial success in the segment of large government clients.
Actions & Solutions
Leadership & Growth: Progressed from business analyst to Product Manager, taking on management of the full product development lifecycle and the development team.
Methodology Implementation: Acted as Scrum Master, implementing Agile processes, User Stories workflow, and the FURPS+ requirements evaluation system.
Product Discovery: Conducted a client requirements audit and competitor analysis, which allowed restructuring the backlog to match real market and government corporation needs.
Marketing Packaging: Created the product's visual identity from scratch: website, presentation materials, and a strategy for participation in industry exhibitions.
Pre-sale & Sales: Personally conducted meetings with B2G clients using SPIN selling techniques to justify the system's value, resulting in 3 contracts with government corporations.
